    Hi Bobarella!

Why do I only ever find pennies?!?!

I dont know but just keep your eyes peeled everywhere. I found £1 on a quiet side street recently, and todays was in a park. I find between 1p & 5p most days easily. Bus stops, around bins, & outside shops like tesco metros, newsagents etc are always good hunting grounds as so many idiots throw away loose change at these points. My son found 20p in the city the other day.

    Debt-free and Proud!
Evening everyone and Happy Birthday Dawn! Hope you've had a lovely day.

Today I've had a no spend day - hurray! There was a buffet at work, and there'll be loads left over tomorrow too. Going to take a tupperware in, so anything left tomorrow can come home with me - sounds tight, but it's what those of us that work Fridays usually do when we have one.

Heating off and I'm wearing my thick dressing gown over a jumper.

Not much else to report, but I've been daydreaming a bit about what to do when I'm debt free. I'd love to continue saving the same amount that goes towards the debt for as long as possible. Hopefully in a couple of years me and the OH will have babies, so saving up will mean that I could have a longer maternity leave.

There's real pleasure in being frugal and in control - this is what I've learnt over the past few weeks!
  • I haven't left the house today, which has made it a NSD. :)

Today has been a spendy day as needed to stock up the fridge but resisted all the nice looking chocolate that increases both my shopping bill and my waistline!!!

    Hi all,

What a lovely day it has been- down this way it has anyway...

So, yesterday was a spendy day- had to get bits of fruit and veg now that little one has started on solids. Well, actually he's started throwing it on the floor- very little reaches his mouth yet! Also got him 2 pairs of dungarees, pair of jeans and a pair of trousers in charity shop- only £6. Also took out cash for spenders, meaning technically that I could call today a NSD.

So, today...went out for walk and picnic with friends. I paid for car park as she'd sorted picnic.
Free lunch as paid for by friend.
So full up that I couldn't eat dinner.
Cancelled extra Netflix subscription that we have been paying for ages.
Limited use of heating as it's so lovely outside.

This evening/tomorrow, going to get head round budget.
Someone mentioned spending app. Which one do you use? I think I have Toshl on phone but got to get head round it.

  • Well after being missing for a week or so I am sneaking my way back in, Hope that is ok? I am a bit late in posting but I have had a very busy day.

    Today I have
    1. Had all meals from stores
    2. Checked online banking
    3. Last minute shopping for Halloween party
    4. Set up my latest blog idea
    5. Attended college lectures
    6. Fed the animals and checked for eggs
    7. Organised and scheduled Avon work
    8. Spent an hour sorting Avon paperwork

Just a couple of things that I still want to get done today:
    1. Catch up with the threads from this week
    2. Put up decorations for tomorrow
    3. Get an early night

I will come back tomorrow and catch up with everyone
