Credit File Query on contract

Hi All,
I am just looking to see if anyone can put my mind at ease about stopping a sky contract i have had in my name for several years. I am due to cancel this month as my mum continued using it a few years back when i moved out and she has ensured me that it has been fully paid etc.
Looking at my files in the last year or so on and off there is nothing in there about me having a sky contract out and I was wondering if they actually report to credit reference agencies? I am due to apply for a mortgage in January and worried if i cancel it they could potentially report my whole account which could have late payments etc for all i know (Stupid move by myself, i know).

You should stop the contract in accordance with the terms and conditions. Failure to do so could well cause you grief. The one thing you don't need prior to a mortgage application.0
