Copied CDs will only play on computer, not stereo or car. Why?!

This is a popular problem with disks reading on some stereos and not others.

PC cd players are differant from stereo cd players in that the lasers strenth of CDROM's are about ten time more intesive than stereo's.
This s ecause data is more sensitive thatn music (a music scratched disk can play through sometime with no noticability but a data disk would claim allsorts of 'stop, you have performed a illegal operation ect)

the solution is to use a set laser intencity on a disk with a standard reflectivity and you will get a good burn that could work fine with weaker stereo read lasers.

The trouble is no twao CD writers can you the same laser intensity (there patented by manufacturer) and no two brands of CD-r can use the same dye (write sensitivity) because of manufacturer patents it.

The solution it to find a media that works reliably with your own writer and this isn't necessarily buying expensive media because it has only a little to do with getting a good write.

If you goto to your cdwriters manufacturers website you can usually find a list of recomended media. These will be disks which should work best with your writer.
