having a problem with the candles you buy in jars such as airwick and febreeze, because they are in a jar the melted wax pools back into the middle instead of down the sides, but the wick still burns right down, and now i have candles with no wick left to light. what does everyone else do. such a waste as nearly all the candle is left.

Hi
It is called tunneling and is due to the wicks not being trimmed or not getting the wax to pool across the surface. When it started to happen to us with Yankee candles, as the fragrance went right trough the wax we bought tart warmers and now use them to use up the rest of the wax that way. I do believe though that the airwick ect ones do not have the fragrance right through so your only choice is to buy some spare wicks {look via search engine} re melt the wax to remake the candles {plenty of info how to on you tube0 -
When you light it, let it burn until the wax is melted right across the surface. Only lighting for short periods causes problems as described0
