E.on V12 and Energyhelpline.com
Options
Got the latest Martin's Money Tips this morning, and found since that E.on are now under-cutting the deal Martin has negotiated with them.
Went to switch to the E.on v12 tariff, via, Energyhelpline.com and find that, and had it confirmed by one of their agents, that they no longer provide cashback on energy switches. MSE website still says that they do (as still do some pages on Energyhelpline.com
).
I've already used CEC in the last 12 months - so that's out.
I'm not complaining - these sorts of things happen - but whilst things are, apparently, changing so quickly, any suggestions as to today's best-value switching sites (other than CEC)?
Edit: does using CEC in the last 12 months also disqualify the MSE-linked-to Moneysupermarket.com cashback?

EHL via the special MSE link - they do still pay cashback
Or check out the dedicated cashback sites for something possibly even better.
I think SimplySwitch (again via the special MSE link) currently offers the best cashback amongst the comparison sites, if you are doing a dual fuel switch.0 -
...Edit: does using CEC in the last 12 months also disqualify the MSE-linked-to Moneysupermarket.com cashback?9.2.3 MoneySuperMarket.com provides the energy comparison service, handles all provider switches, and processes all cashback due in connection with switches (where applicable). Cashback T&Cs apply - please see http://www.moneysupermarket.com/gas-and-electricity/cashback-terms-conditions.0

Thanks. Has the EHL dual-fuel discount always been £15?
MSE reports that folk haven't been getting their cashback from SimplySwitch. Do we know if that has been sorted out?0 -

Er, I think so
Maybe it was £17.50 way back, or I may be confused
(Edit: think I am confused; think the £17.50 was the cashback from MoneySuperMarket.com for a single fuel switch in the past)
But they only ever paid the half cashback for one supplier (even if dual fuel)
You need to switch to 2 different suppliers to get the full cashback on offer (which is currently £30)0 -
I'll take that as a NO0 -

Just checked my last use of EHL - 27/09/2013 to Scottish Power - and the cashback was £40. Must have been a special offer.0 -
I had major issues with CEC yesterday not processing my application (although it now turns out that they have twice!) so I used Simply Switch via Quidco for £33 cashback.
So not only did the Simply Switch work first time the cashback is more than on offer from CEC.
So now as you can probably tell I have 3 switch applications being processed!! Not happy with CEC at all.0 -
Never been a good idea to use the 'cheap' Energy Club for cashback as you can get more cashback via topcashback or quidco.0

Does anybody know if you use Simplyswitch for EON cashback via topcashback or quidco does it mean that you cannot then qualify for the EON rewards of high street vouchers or Tesco Clubcard points?
No point in me using CEC as I switched 11 months ago.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
