Hi Frugal Friends,
Today I seem to have mostly been trying to get ready for a coming holiday but have kept the faith:
*Line-dried laundry to about 2/3 dry....will switch heated airer on overnight (cheap tariff) to give it a final blast.
*Changed bed linen & loaded washer for a cheap overnight wash.
*Did some surveys,
*Posted ebay parcels.
*Withdrew ebay money from Paypal (£120) which I'll transfer over to the Bathroom Fund as soon as it appears in our current account.
*Checked online banking for a late cheque....it had appeared. Instantly transferred across to Bathroom Fund.
*No heating on. Chilly at times, but not cold enough for heating yet.
*Baked more bread for freezer.
*Sorted through veggies in fridge so as to use everything up before we go away. Runner beans & chunk of cabbage purloined by mr f to go with his dinner & half a butternut squash, 2 sprouty onions, a potato & the last few of our tomatoes turned into 4 portions of soup for the freezer.
*Cash budget agreed for coming holiday (self-catering). Mr f said (OMG!!) "I think we should still do a meal plan so we don't end up spending out on food & stuff we don't need or keep eating out all the time". Brilliant! Meal plan done. Shopping list too.
*Watered broad bean seedlings, rocket & watercress.
*NSD
*All free leisure today as watched a recorded TV prog, read my library book, updated my blog, wrote a letter & did a few rows of knitting.
Cheers for now,

I use potato to thicken soups, never tried pasta but I might give it a go for my next batch.
Thanks! Vanilla sea salt is really good. You only need a teeny amount to flavour things. I use potato as well but figure whizzing cooked pasta into a soup can't harm either and uses it up." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Oooh, PayPal money from our eBay sales appeared in our account quickly & I squiggled it over to the Bathroom Fund straight away. Psychologically, breaking into the next thousand feels motivating, just like it did when we were paying down our hefty debts. It still feels like quite a novelty saving up for things, but I definitely prefer it.2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever
