Cashback Question
My 83 year old father is currently on a Standard tariff (Gas and Electricity) with Scottish Power and pays his bills quarterly by cheque. However, he is considering switching to Scottish Power's Online Energy Saver 4 tariff which offers online billing and monthly direct debits and which will reduce his existing annual fuel bill by almost £300.
If he switches, using a switching website such as Moneysupermarket.com, will he qualify for any cashback (as he is switching from a different tariff and payment method but with the same supplier - Scottish Power?) Or does cashback only apply if you actually switch to a different supplier?

Hi,
You can switch tariffs with Scottish Power through moneysupermarket.com and still receive their £30 cash back. It will take longer though than if you organised it direct with Scottish Power.
This is also the same for British Gas as well
