All the entry forms work, it's the addons that people have installed in their web browsers that's causing the issues...
The original link to the competitions is here;
http://www.itv.com/onlineentry/dickinsonsrealdeal/
If you bookmark that page & use the urls from those entry forms then it should reduce the amount of alternative entry link bumps.
From the above page, if you click on the "Dickinson's Real Deal' link in bold or the 'How much will Today's special item make at auction?' button, underneath the competition winner's link then you get the more compact set of entry forms that people seems to be having issues with;
http://www.itv.com/onlineentry/dickinsonsrealdeal/drd-competition
The links with 'drd-competition' in the url require the page to be excluded from ad blocking software, even if you have already created rules to allow the regular, non-compact ITV entry forms.
I had to add the following line to the exception rules in the custom filters section of adblock plus & restart the browser to get the "drd-competition" entry form to show in firefox;
@@|http://www.itv.com/onlineentry/dickinsonsrealdeal/drd-competition^$document
My bookmark of choice is the STV site as the entry forms are compact but you may still have to allow the site in any ad blocking software running in your browser.
http://competitions.stv.tv/itv-competitions/
There's also the UTV site where the entry forms are compact but there's a lot of stuff at the top of the page that you have to scroll past - ad blocking software may need fettling with;
http://www.u.tv/competitions/itvcomp.aspx?origin_oid=RealDeal
Again, I had to add the following line to the exception rules in the custom filters section of adblock plus to get the entry form to show in firefox;
@@|http://www.u.tv/Competitions/|$document
It's worth having a few different web browsers installed and at least one of those should have no addons so that if there is an issue, you can check in a different browser to see whether the problem is the entry form or your browser.0 -

I think it's since ITV changed the format, sometimes your links work, and sometimes they don't. Today the main page link didn't work for me either. I use Chrome and it's very hit and miss. Before the format changed, it worked every single time. So maybe it's a bug they've put in to discourage mass-hotlinking?
I really, really appreciate you posting and never get frustrated when it doesn't work. After all, had you not posted in the first place, I wouldn't even be trying to enter as I wouldn't even know about it.
Keep up the good work!

I DO have an ad-blocker - I lied before. (Sorry!
) But usually comping cat's links work for me, it's rare that they don't. Maybe it's an inconsistency in the ad-blocker for me, but my trouble only started when ITV changed the format. Auto-fill doesn't even work any more for me on ITV comps. spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0 -

I'm very appreciative of your posting cat, but I'm a bit of a technophobe and just didn't understand the very detailed post above explaining what needed to be done.
I'm always thankful some there are very helpful people who put on a link that I can use.
I use Chrome, by the way, so your posts should work for me all the time!42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot:hello: Good Luck everyone !:hello:0 -
Somebody recently suggested widening the browser page on your screen and this has completely solved the problem for me in Firefox, thanks.0
