EasyCar booking shambles

Just thought 'll let you know what a shambles EasyCar are
I booked a car for a friend via the EasyCar website. This was for a vehicle to be picked up at Rome Ciampino airport. I received all the relevant confimation emails with appropriate booking numbers.
Upon the landing of my friend's flight he went to the local carhire desk to pick up his vehicle only to be told that they have no record of the booking!
I get a phone from my friend who is panicking like mad.
So I proceed to try and contact Easycar. I eventually get through on the premium rate 0906 as shown on their website (I tried the geograhical numbers on saynoto0870.com but all roads led to me ringing the 0906 number).
The upshot is that Easycar could not do anything about it and my friends need to go via another hire company and then claim the money back.
What pathetic service! At the end of the day Easycar was not prepared to deal with this issue there and then. A simple phone call to the local desk might have escalated this to a simple reoslution.
I and my friend will certainly not be using Easycar again. I have since discovered that other people on my friends flight suffered with the same problems.

Not always a shambles. We use them whenever we go to Ireland, and have never had a problem.
Sorry you had a problem with them, but mistakes do happen sometimes.Gone ... or have I?0 -
but mistakes do happen sometimes.
I think the point the OP is trying to make is that they are annoyed with the lack of customer service that they received.A simple phone call to the local desk might have escalated this to a simple reoslution0 -
I'm quite suprised the local desk did not sort out a car for you. Customer service is everything, and they often have spares.
This is why you sometimes have a free upgrade - they want you to come back - you should have pressed this point.
I've stood in a German outlet and had free snow chains just by asking nicely - you'd be suprised.0
