PPI Help please

Hi there,

I wonder if you can help me. I have had many credit cards and loans over the past 16-18 years but I do not have any of the details or account numbers, let alone any paper work.

I know for a fact that some of the companies are not in existence any longer, or at least the guise of said lender is not in operation.

I am bombarded continually with calls and messages about reclaiming PPI and I think it is about time to try. I am however stuck as to where to start given the above information.

Can anyone help me?

Details from 16 plus years ago ?? very unlikely that any company would hold on to them.

You would have to have details yourself, a reason for a complaint and documents to back your complaint up.

I think its time to move on.....
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

You could start by phoning all the companies that still exist to check if they have any details about your accounts with them.
If you send a SAR you should receive everything they have about you.

Old bank statements are a good source of info about loans and credit cards, ask your own bank if you can order some from the dates you were paying for credit cards and loans by direct debits, as this could provide you with the relevant account numbers which other lenders often require to locate archived records.
