Unclear signage? led to PCN

I got a PCN last night at 6.45 in Clapham after parking next to a sign that said parking was allowed from 6.30. Unfortunately that sign applied to the parkings bays 20 metres further down the street rather than the bay I was parking in which only allowed parking after 7pm (which I didn't find out until I got back to the car and saw the ticket). I think I have strong grounds to appeal the PCN on an unclear signage basis but just wanted to check that I do have grounds for appeal.

I'm presuming this is a council issued PCN?

Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate).

PePiPoo has an excellent success record in dealing with council tickets.
