Accord Mortgage

Options
Good 'evening all

Currently on top of my debts and my DFD is about 12 months away (my credit file is shot to pieces)

My question is regarding my mortgage. My wife runs this account, and there has been no problems in the 8 years of this account.

I am hoping to change the mortgage to a fixed rate from the current SVR.

Do you think Accord would run a credit check even bearing in mind the fact we have made every single payment on time over the last 8 years.

I am worried that we might get turned down by them (due to my adverse credit) and lose what we currently have.

Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on this?

Regards
Darren

You won't lose what you have in terms of lending, but they may refuse to offer you a product other than SVR if they don't like your recent credit history.

  • Accord will not run a credit check if you are wanting to change from SVR to a fixed rate product.

They will however look at your payment history with them, providing you have made your last 12 months payments on time and have no arrears then you will be eligible for a product.

I have taken this information from their website so it is correct
  • Thanks guys, appreciate it.
