Samsung Tablet not holding charge.

My grandson was given a Samsung tablet as a Christmas present in 2012. It has not held a charge for some months. It was purchased from PC World but there is no record of purchase or receipt.

Is it likely that I might be able to get PC World or Samsung to look at repairing it?

AFAIK the batteries on these things are not replaceable, certainly PC World won't touch it. All I can suggest is take it to your local PC repair shop but I don't hold out much hope.

Buy a new battery from ebay. 2 years is about it for most batteries, they only have a finite number of charges they can take.

Thank you both for the replies. I will pop into PC World today and ask if it is possible to replace the battery.

    Update,
PC World, 'contact Samsung!' Contacted Samsung and they have agreed that I can send it back for examination. Good customer service!

    Hi
I hope you have better luck with samsung than I did this was the same problem with my sons only it's still under guarantee as it's only 10 months old. PC world sent mine off and I got a call from samsung stating it would cost £170 to fix as it has a small hairline crack at the corner of the screen and this invalidates any guarantee, got the tablet back and the crack is not visible so currently going to dispute it.
