My daughter has broken her phone but, would she be able to use her sim card from the iphone 5c in any other phone until her phone gets repaired? Thanks

Yes. If the 'other' phone is either on the same network or unlocked and sim free. You may also need a SIM card adaptor to make sure of a proper fit if the other phone needs a bigger sized sim than the nano sim you have0
