ITV player app - shows cut out before end when viewed on on tablet

I have a new tablet (a Hudl) and downloaded the ITVplayer app for it. (ITV Player cannot be accessed direct via google, on the tablet, something to do with flash.)
Twice recently I have been trying to watch a catch up tv show and it just cuts out after around half an hour with an automated error message - something along the lines of- access discontinued, do you wish to report this yes or no. (I am paraphrasing.)
The thing is it only happens on itv player, bbc iplayer does not have this problem but itv player has it everytime. I assume it must be connected to the app.
Anyone else had this and solved it?
