Advice needed for Freshtech refund.

Hi,
My husband bought a gaming computer from Freshtech which we had to return as it kept crashing and the fans sounded like they were going to take off. Freshtech collected the computer and investigated - they then (after 3 weeks or so) said they would have to build a new computer and send it out. We received the new computer but the problems were still the same.
We contacted Freshtech again to ask for a refund and for them to collect the machine. They collected the computer at the beginning of this month but we are still yet to receive the refund. My husband has emailed them and spoke to them several times on the phone, only to be told the refund will be in our account in the next few days.
We paid on a debit card rather than a credit card (which is now looking like a mistake).
Does anyone have any advice? We have threatened (via email and verbally) to take them to small claims court if we haven't received the money by Monday (03.11.14) - is this something we could do? They owe us about £600.

If so, and the refund is not forthcoming in a reasonable time, then consider asking your bank for a chargeback.0 -
Ah, thanks for that wealdroam, I thought I could only claim back for charges on a credit card - I must have been thinking about Section 75. Very helpful.0
