Which Ipad mini?

With Retina or without........replacing my sons old Nexus 7 for xmas...... Didn't really want to pay the price for the ipad. Was looking at the Samsung galaxys 10 I think but the price! Son will be 15 if that matters so "needs" it for music chatting etc any advice welcome.

Having had the ipad then changed to the Samsung then swiftly ( after losing a lot of money ) back I would honestly say see if you can get a recon ipad. The difference is amazing.

I'll be purchasing my daughters an iPad Mini 2 32GB tomorrow.
The iPad Mini 3 only includes the fingerprint sensor - everything else is the same, so no point in paying the premium for a sensor that won't be used. The iPad Mini 2 32GB at £279 is a steal at the moment.0 -
