Umm this makes me want to complain about the very short time he spent there but I really don't want him to have to go back and delay the sale any longer.
May wait for the report and see what it says x

What concerned you enough to ask for a homebuyers report?

When we bought our last house we just got the basic survey and it turned out the guttering was leaking from them sticking black tape up there to cover it as well as other issues that come up under the homebuyers so we promised ourselves we'd get the next step up survey on the next house we bought

I watched a neighbours house being "surveyed" last week - (no I don't spend my time watching what my neighbours do - but we all keep an eye out for strangers in our road) and he arrived with the requisite clipboard, steps and binoculars and spent a good 40 mins outside at the start, examining front door, windows, guttering, roof, measuring back and forth again and again. Lordy knows what he was looking at inside - (it's a small, standard two bedroomed house) but it was a good 90 mins before he emerged and then proceeded to minutely examine for about 20 mins, the small low brick wall in front of the property, which I know the owner had gently reversed to a stop against a few months ago no apparent damage then, but he had spotted it......! He seemed to be particularly thorough and it took about 2 and a half hours, if that's of any help?

Luckily it wasn't too expensive as think we're going to leave it to rush the sale through!
