Overdraft Limit

Hi Friends,
I would like to know if overdraft limit has any affect on your credit rating. I know if you use it you will have negative affect. I got three accounts and all together £ 1700. I always try to not to touch the overdraft only when there is 0 % offer.
My question is if we apply for increase the limit will it go for credit check and also is it advisable to have high overdraft limits.
Thanks A Lot.

If you apply to increase your overdraft, they will credit check you. If you're not using it, I wouldn't bother applying to increase it. Having too much available credit is also a downfall.
Personally, I just have one account that has an overdraft, all my other bank accounts (6) don't have overdrafts.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

You appear to be desperate for credit looking at your post history. Using an agreed overdraft wihin the limit should be ok, but your default on the credit card will probably have more of an issue.
But heh, you got an MBNA card. What are you financing for?
