Switch Question re Benefit

Alongside my salary, I get DLA. In the Bank Switch guarantee, it says they will inform my employer - but do I need to sort out the DLA myself or will that be transferred as part of the Switch?

Many thanks

I wouldn't rely on this, athough during the first months all incoming payments will be redirected to the new account regardless.

AFAIK salary payments are some special arrangement (Direct Credit?), that might be not the case for the benefits.

What happens to payments that people send to my old account, i.e. salary, pension or benefit payments?

The Current Account Switch Service will redirect payments to your new account for up to 13 months from your switch date. Each time an electronic payment is redirected an automatic message is sent back to the originator advising them of the new account details so they can update their records. Some organisations may contact you directly to confirm your details have changed.

I agree, though, it is worth verifying yourself that all your payment originators really do have your new account details.
