PCN soft appeal success! Thank you

Hi all

I just wanted to say thank you for your very informative forum and threads relating to PCNs.
I had a windscreen ticket recently (my first!) where the driver parked in a car park for less than the free 30 minutes allowed, but didn’t get a ticket (unclear signage). The ticket was for the princely sum of £70 (£40 if paid within 14 days) because a free ticket had not been purchased for a free period of time.
Anyway I came on here, read all the threads, and realised that the £70 charged was not a genuine pre-estimate of loss. I wrote the soft appeal once the NTK arrived. I used the template that had been posted on the sticky thread and was all ready to draft my POPLA appeal if this didn't work.
Earlier this week I heard back from the company; after a good page and a half of a lecture stating that the driver should have paid for the ticket and the signage was adequate, they state ‘however in the interest of goodwill we are prepared to cancel the PCN in this instance’.

Result!!! So just wanted to say a massive thank you to all you kind people that put in a lot of time advising the public on this forum, it has been much appreciated.

They are seriously easy to send packing, a friend has avoided one of their silly charges with my help! Well done for achieving the same.
