Buyers that pulled out - what are they up to?

Our house sale fell through about 4 weeks ago (buyers pulled out just before exchange). Although upset, angry and feeling let down we moved on and found new buyers about 10 days ago.
Today a letter hit our doormat that initially my partner did not check the name is was addressed to.
Long story short it was addressed to one of our former buyers regarding a student loan application.
We are furious to say the least

Mark it "not known at this address, return to sender" - that should delay their application.
It is a very odd time of year to be doing a student loan application.
We had a buyer who used our address for a school application. They got into sufficient trouble when found out by the above action.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Cheers!
I suppose I'm just hoping it doesn't affect Mine or partners credit situations? That is probably our main concern.0 -
It won't, credit records haven't been linked by address for years.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
