Carpet tiles to go under dining table

Options
We like the Morum rug to stop our dining table and chairs from scratching the floor:

But the medium size is slightly not wide enough (160cm vs 180-200cm) and the large size is too long (300cm vs 240cm). 240x200 would be the perfect size but rugs don't seem to come in those proporitions.

Budget is small, and it's more just to have something under the dining table and chairs than to have 'a rug' as such, so are there any carpet tiles we could lay out to get a similar effect?

The ones I've searched for seem to be for commercial businesses, and so very workmanlike - anything more suited for home use?

  • Carpet tiles only work when they're laid wall-to-wall (or have an edging strip stuck to the floor) to stop them separating. Laid loose, you'll get movement and gaps.

200 x 200 square or 200 circular rugs seem available, if they would suit.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

Carpet tiles placed face down and fastened together with a few strips of duck tape or similar will work well. Looks just like a decent rug too once turned the right way up and they won't seperate.😁

What sort of floor do you have? Our table and chairs get moved alot, they are heavy and have never scratched the floor.

It's cork with a hard wax surface, so not really worried about scratches so much as scraping noise. Even if we found decent carpet tiles we would have to deal with the outside unfinished seam somehow (tape it down?), so will crack on looking for a rug that matches our measurements. Cheers,
