On Demand TV: not receiving 4OD or 5

I have a Panasonic Freesat TV and a Humax Freetime PVR.
However, I don't seem to be able to receive either 4OD or Channel 5 via the On Demand channel.

At first I could only get BBC I Player and no others; then only managed to get ITV player by changing my post code from a Scottish one to a London one !! (have no idea why that might be, but read that somewhere so tried it and it worked).

The On Demand channel is 900 but when I try to access this is states I am not connected by broadband to the internet, which I am or I wouldn't be able to get either the BBC or ITV ones. So far have tried a factory reset and a checked for software updates without success

Please can anyone suggest a solution?

I can't suggest a solution regarding your problem with Freetime and 4oD & Demand 5 but, regarding this problem you had with Freetime:
then only managed to get ITV player by changing my post code from a Scottish one to a London one !! (have no idea why that might be, but read that somewhere so tried it and it worked).

    the Freesat website says:

"ITV Player is available in England, Wales & The Channel Islands."

Presumably STV doesn't have a Freetime agreement with Freesat.

Your Panasonic TV might be too old if it's pre-Freetime, as is mine, and my Humax Foxsat HDR, for some of the later on demands - the Freetime platform is much better and more inclusive for this stuff, and the older suff is getting left behind. The Humax should definitely be getting it though. As above, ITV is a mess region-wise, and they don't actually have broadcast rights for Scotland and NI, STV and UTV have those, so they're the ones that have to provide the on demand content too. They've been slow at this but you can get round it with postcode trickery.
Make sure your Humax's software (may as well do the Panasonic too) is up to date would be my only solution for the moment.
