Security tag on item bought.

Bought an item of clothing , new with tags, on Ebay and it has arrived with a security tag attached. No problem I thought - i'll force it off but on closer inspection it is the type with 2 small vials of paint incorporated, presumably to spoil the garment if it is forced off.

Any ideas how to remove it? I don't really want to return the item as it was cheap and I'll be without it while I find another : and it will cost me.

P.S. Don't think it is knicked - it came from a well established seller ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/great.choices)

Thanks

I doubt removing security tags from clothing is a topic Moneysavingexpert would wish to discuss on their forum.

I removed one that Tesco left on with a magnet, otherwise contact the seller but if you send it back make sure the seller pays the postage.

    Consider it a fashion accessory.

You might even start a new trend.

One that could be popular, especially with shoplifters.

    OK , panic over

    Well a fridge magnet doesn't work .

Not having a good magnet and not being a patient man I asked myself " What would George Clooney do?"
I'm pretty sure he'd wrap the garment in plastic and take his biggest plier side snips to it - so I did!

Tis now off with no harm done

    Thanks
