Dodgy Car Sellers

I read a report in the paper last week about people selling cars in AutoTrader. Basically they say they are a private seller and are selling for example a Porsche worth £25k for £15k. They have a mobile number and when you ring they say that they are on "holiday" in Spain and that they have decided to stay there thats why they are selling the car so cheap.
They then say that they have made enquiries to how to get the car back shipped back to UK. They give you the details of what looks to be a legitimate website and get you to ring them to arrange to have the "car" shipped over.
The approx cost i believe is £2k and they also ask for the money to be paid direct into their account before they send the car to the carrier.
Then guess what happens, No car and no such company, Minus your £17.
The papers say this has happened to atleast 7 people but think there may be more.
Moral of the story, if a car is too cheap to be real, it possibly is!
Hope it all made sense

Use common sense? A £25k car can be taken to a dealer and sold to them for a lot more than £15k, there would never be any reason to sell the car that cheap.Bought, not Brought0
