Credit Rating & Electoral Register

I recently created an account with checkmyfile so I could view my credit rating. Recently I've purchased a house so I now have a mortgage. It also had been a number of years since I checked my rating so I just wanted to take a look at what affect (if any) my new circumstances had. My rating was just below the UK average. I've had a couple of loans before which I paid in full within the time stated. I have credit cards which I pay in full each month by DD & also have a phone contract. The website suggested I need to update my registration for the electoral register which I have since done. My question is how long does this take to be picked up by the credit agencies and will it have much of an effect on my rating?

Waste of money! Cancel it and go get your statutory reports directly from the CRAs.I recently created an account with checkmyfile so I could view my credit rating.
At this time of year (ie during the annual canvas of electors), it could be December/January before all 3 CRAs have your updated ER details. Your credit rating (as perceived by lenders) will improve, as it shows you've put down roots...ie you're stable. My question is how long does this take to be picked up by the credit agencies and will it have much of an effect on my rating?0 -
