Halifax Reward Account Query

Could somebody please help with a query about switching to the Halifax Reward Current Account?

I'm hoping to switch from an existing current account which doesn't have any direct debits set up on it.

I've had a look at the switching terms on the site & they state that I must:
Use the 'Current Account Switch Service' to transfer all the active credits and debits from the bank account that you hold with another bank and close this account.

I intend to use the Current Account Switch Service, but I'm not clear on what's meant by "active debits and credits." Will the fact that my existing account has no direct debits set up on it at all mean that I won't qualify for the £100 switching bonus?

I do intend to set up two new direct debits on the Halifax account once it's been opened (as well as paying in £750 per month) in order to qualify for the £5 monthly reward, but don't want to miss out on the £100.

Any help gratefully received.

I'm switching an account with no DDs. And I'm switching to an existing reward account. They are still going to give me 100 quid. Barmy.

I've successfully switched a dormant Nationwide account with £15 in it and nothing else to an existing Halifax Reward account. It was easier and more profitable than trying to do a change of address on the Nationwide account ;)
