Moisture removal method for windows and outer built cupboard

In the winter I get moisture on windows and inside a cupboard where the wall is facing the outside.
I have found that placing bowls of water on the sill help reduce the condensation on the windows. But what do I do about moisture in the cupboard.
If placing water pots helps solve condensation on my windows, can this method work for my cupboard?

adding more water is probably just making this worse...you need to either insulate the walls so the warm air doesn't hit the cold walls and turn to water, or remove the excess water in the house.0

I use the dehumidifiers you get for about a pound on my son's windowsill and seems to help with the condensation there. I think more ventilation is the answer though but this does help. You have to change them when they fill with water though but they last us a month or 2.
I also wouldn't think the bowls of water can be helping your problem.0
