in Wales
I heard that s wales will be affected if flood water overcomes the power station in the floods in gloucester. Does anyone know which areas? It does focus the mind ie lights, candles, matches etc

Power stations supply directly into the National Grid. If one power station is closed down, your power will be drawn from another power station.
If an electricity sub station is closed down, that area will lose their electricity supply. The sub station draws the power from the National Grid into our homes.
I believe you mean a sub station, in which case only the local area will be affected.0
