Cancelling direct debits after switching

I have recently switched to first direct. I have received my £100 bonus and am making use of the 6% saver. I have put £5 into the e-saver to avoid the account fees after six months.
I'd like to open the lloyds account which pays 4% interest but I don't have two spare direct debits (I've also got a Halifax account).
My question is now that I've switched can I move the two direct debits from first direct to a lloyds account or will that somehow affect any of my first direct benefits?

You don't need the DDs for the First Direct. DDs are not a problem, though - you can create them yourself. Open some Tesco Internet Saver accounts then *you* can setup Direct Debit "pulls" from any of your accounts.
May be useful if you're going in for more DD-demanding accounts in the future
