i think by the time a poster has added it to the ops posts for the zillionth time i think they know that no one is being rude.

honestly though, the question still stands - has anyone ever been offended by someone putting on added info?
i cannot see it meself.

I can think of at least two that have objected & posted as such.

I can think of 3 posters who don't like extra info being added. Though to be fair most of the time it wasn't really extra info.

There was one recently in an ongoing thread where someone added (what many of us find are) better/more direct links, and the OP of the particular comp complained.
On the rare occasions I find comps to post I welcome any useful additions however minor - even if it's only helping very few people surely it's still worth it.

I have had such as that twice to my knowledge.

The referral type links seemed OK with OP but my additional,non referral/tied link,seemed not to sit as well with their view of what was OK to post..

afaicr I've only ever had one op offended by me adding
info & that was a long time ago & then it was posted afterwards by MSE admin it was ok for someone to add any helpful information relating to the comps
