I have owned a Konika Minolta Dynax 5D SLR Camera for several years and would like to fit a suitable Flash Gun to the camera.
I have a Cobra 700AF-Mi that I used with my old Minolta that used film.
I have been told that this Flash is not suitable for use with Digital Cameras and I wondered what was the reason.
Also could someone recommend a good Flash that would be suitable for my Dynax 5D SLR.
Thank you kindly in anticipation.

a sony 3600 or 5600 will fit the KM 5D or you could look on the ebay for a Minolta 3600 which is identical0

But hold on to the old one as it still could be used as a slave.0

Not being experienced in this field I am not sure how a slave operates.
Would the slave work along the side of, say the ones suggested by tonyh66?

You mount the flash on a slave trigger which reacts to camera flash and fires. You'd normally stick this on a tripod at the side or back of whatever or whoever you're photoing so the light isn't just coming from the front where the camera flash is.Not being experienced in this field I am not sure how a slave operates.
