Cpp parking fine notice have blue badge

I was visiting St Mary's hospital in Manchester to register the Still birth/death of my baby boy.
Parking is always really bad even with a BB.
I parked on double yellow lines without any markings on the kerb itself.
Came outside and myself and two other BB holders cars had been issued a notice.

This was around mid September and I've also received another one recently advising I had not paid and......blah!!

Now I have a relative whom works in a quite senior role within councils.

Just informing people that this is not a "Formal" fine and is therefore not enforceable.

You need to complain to the facilities Manager and PALS. Don't ignore it. Not a good plan, if you are relying upon the say-so of a 'relative in the Council' who is clearly not in a position to comment! Parking firms do sue over these and keepers can be 'liable' and some Judges DO consider these 'enforceable'.

Why risk it? Complain and get it cancelled and next time read the Newbies thread near the top of the forum, it's there to help people appeal and win (you would have had this done and dusted by now if you'd followed our advice). We agree they are not formal fines but your relative is hopelessly wrong if they think these should be ignored.

So sorry to hear about your lovely little boy - RIP. :(

just notice this is a duplicate thread and they need merging:
