fence issues with neighbour
Comments

Work with your neighbour to come to a solution that is agreeable to both. Remember that at some point both may want to sell their houses and you would have to declare any such dispute to buyers.
It is only a fence and not worth getting into a silly argument. You should not have touched a fence put up by someone else and I think you should apologise, then have a discussion about what works best for both. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -

Out of courtesy we asked to double slat the fence. To increase privacy we have used the existing rail to put slats on instead of adding another rail. The neighbour is stating that this will cause fence to fall down which I think is ridiculous. However he is wanting lawyers to get involved. Even though he put the fence up its a boundary fence.
Are there any issues with double slatting the fence on a single rail?
Thanks
Rather fed up and annoyed neighbour.....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I don't think double slatting the fence on a single rail will create any issue or the fence will fall but still to be safe you can ask some fencing installation professionals to be completely sure and then you can answer your neighbor.0
