Went to update and run a scan this morning and it says I need to download and install a newer version. It doesn't seem very long since I did all of this.
Last time I did this I got my knickers in a twist, so is this:
a) Very straightforward and easy to do?
b) Still completely free of charge?
Many thanks for your patience:o

I did my update a moment ago; as yummy mummy says, it worked fine - but make sure you untick the box about a Free Trial of the Premium Version, if you still want to use the Free version.0

As per above - simply UNtick the premium option at the very last display during the update process.
(I've just updated mine).

Thank you all so much, I know I shouldn't panic about these things.
It was very simple and I didn't even have to untick any boxes, it just went straight into the free version (as previous one).Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
Hmm. I have the free version, and at the very last info box there were TWO tick boxes (both pre-ticked). One was to start MBAM and the other was to start a trial of Premium MBAM.0

Am I imagining it or did the free version have a scheduler?
How often do you run yours?0 -
Unlike the premium version, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free does not let users schedule scans, so you'll have to manually open the program and click the Scan button each time you want to check for malware

I checked out my Malwarebytes and found that it was no longer working. used to be scheduled to run every day. Re-installed it (Pro version) but can't find my damned licence key.
I may try to do a restore to earlier time. Poo, not what I expected.0
