Amazon - Blocked Listing

Amazon have blocked one of our listings as per the below:
We took this action because we have received customer complaints about these listings.
Our policies state that all items offered for sale on Amazon.co.uk must be authentic. Any item that has been illegally replicated, reproduced, or manufactured is prohibited. For more information on this policy, search on "Prohibited Content" in seller Help.
We want to call your attention to this policy because violations may result in the permanent removal of your Amazon.co.uk selling privileges.
While we are unable to provide information about specific orders that are reported to us, reviewing your inventory may help you identify any issues with these listings.
Please review your listings and make any changes necessary to comply with our policies. You can modify your listings on the Manage Inventory page in the Inventory section of your Seller Central account (https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/myi/search/OpenListingsSummary ).
We appreciate your cooperation and thank you for selling on Amazon.co.uk.
I have obviously emailed Amazon to appeal and I will send them an email tomorrow with an invoice attached for these items to prove that they are genuine even though they haven't replied to my 1st email yet.
I am a tad concerned that whilst the items are genuine they are bought from a 3rd party as the manufacturer requires 100,000 units as their min order and we only buy 27,000 of these items per year so our invoice is from the 3rd party not the manufacturer.
Does anyone know how long it takes Amazon to reinstate a listing?

No I don't know the timescale.
Are you able to ask your supplier to give a certificate of authenticity? If so include that.0 -
You will have to get a certificate of authenticity from your supplier.
If you can't prove they're genuine, you won't be able to sell them.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Surely invoice from the supplier would be sufficient?
The supplier is only one of three authorised UK distributors which I can prove as they are shown on the manufacturers website as an authorised retailer.0 -
If the manufacturer doesn't want them sold on Amazon there may be nothing you can do about it. There is a possible legal route for restriction of trade but I doubt that would be worthwhile.Surely invoice from the supplier would be sufficient?

If your supplier is only shown on the website as a retailer then they could be breaking their agreement with the manufacturer in supplying you.
I never really understand why some companies are quite so picky. I know of one supplier that my parents used to deal with who were very sniffy about who they supplied, their products were £5 and upwards retail, 20 years on and they're supplying Poundland!.0 -
RFW - I don't think that is the case for this item. Without giving away what it is whilst thee UK supplier is classed as a 'retailer' on the manufacturers website they aren't - they are a manufacturer themselves of products in a similar catagory and as such only supply to trade.
On Amazon there are around 20 listings of items from this manufacturer that you can purchase from the UK supplier and we sell on several of them without any issues.
The manufacturer makes one type of item which is available in several designs and pack sizes i.e. stickers (it isn't stickers but just an example) but the design we have was specially produced for us this time by the manufacturer as they stopped production last year but as we sold around 20K of them they agreed to reproduce them again but only the quantity that we ordered.0 -
Interesting. I do know it is pretty difficult to get Amazon to take an item down (not like on Ebay where they randomly will or won't depending how they feel!). They will only do it with supporting information, so it does look as though someone has reported you with something to back it up.RFW - I don't think that is the case for this item. The advantage is that at least Amazon will be able to answer you and let you know how you can best resolve. I'd send a request to get them to call you and discuss it..0 -
I can't ask them to call me :-(
I have emailed customer service who told me just to email seller performance which I did last night as soon as I saw the notice and again this afternoon once I had scanned in our invoices and haven't had a reply.
Customer service have said that I can't ring them nor will they ring me - they will send me a notification and it may take 'several days' before the respond to me at all so until then I have no idea what else they will need from me.0
