PPI question

Hi
I'm hoping someone can answer the following question...I've searched and come up empty handed so turning to folks in the know.
In 2001 I entered a repayment plan with debt management company Gregory Penningtons in which I also paid PPI.
Can I claim my PPI back from Gregory Penningtons? Debt Management doesn't show in the matching criteria check lists and there's no mention of PPI on their website.
I sadly don't have any paperwork from them and I can't remember how much I paid per month BUT I do have all my bank statements and my reference number.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Vick
