Try looking on the Unbiased website for an independent, whole of market mortgage broker.

Lots of posters on here that are very experienced and I am sure you can contact them by messaging, off the top of my head Kingstreet and Dave Ham are always polite and knowledgeable. Do some digging, see their posts and if you rate their feedback and knowledge contact them. If not, ask someone local for a recommendation.0

Chances are, you'll get a better deal on the purchase if you use the builder's selected broker.
For example, our builders pay our fee and offer a contribution towards legal fees (choice of solicitors).
A specialist newbuild broker will know which lenders accept builder cash incentives and which won't, so won't place your application with the wrong lender.
You should also ask friends and relatives for a broker recommendation.I am a mortgage broker.
