When I charge my Kindle the red light that shows it is charging sometimes either does not come on or goes off before charge completed.
How do I know if the device has developed a fault or the battery is failing?
I have had the Kindle for 18 months.

I just turn it off, plug it in and it shows the battery, when it is full just switch back on.You live..You learn.:)0

I need to know as Device guaranteed 1 year and Battery 2 years.0

If you need to know then you require an engineers report as it could be a number of different reasons why .
Battery Charger Cable Contacts Motherboard OS .
Suggest clean battery contacts. connections replace cable and charger and battery one by one . Factory Reset and test .0
