We are with Npower atm on the fixed Nov 14 tarrif, and are thinking of changing to there fixed Nov 15 tarrif as the other supplier we are thinking of changing to Extra Energy as they are cheaper but according to the thread about them on here it not good news.
As we were going to switch using Cheap energy club for the cashback, we were wondering wether or not we would get the £30 cashback if we switch to the same supplier we are already with, has anyone done this before and were you sucessful with the cashback or not?
Also is this legal?
Thanks in advance
Chris

extra energy are managed by the same management that killed npower by making bad choices including julie jaglowskiDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Some (but not all) suppliers allow Cheap Energy Club users to change their tariff through our site. If you're able to do this with us, you'll also be eligible for the cashback (£15 per fuel).
I hope that help clarify things for you.0 -

Their Managing Director, Geoff Childs, moved over from British Gas, their Head of Residential moved from SSE, they also have people from e.On, and yes, nPower, too.
I haven't found anything in relation to extraenergy that mentions Julie Jaglowski, but she apparently left nPower over a year-and-a-half ago, so if nPower's customer service woes were all her fault, they have had more than enough time to rectify things. The fact that nPower-related complaints continue to rise almost two years after they hired someone new to take over from her suggests that the blame does not lie with any individual.
Ultimately, who has worked for whom is irrelevant. The quality of customer service can rise and fall depending on a number of factors. The only thing you can do is evaluate how well a prospective supplier is performing in the here and now. extraenergy seems to be experiencing the same teething problems other new suppliers have faced. They may sort these problems out in the near future, so I am keeping an open mind about them, but currently would not consider switching to them.0
