Every skip you pass has at least one Dyson sticking out of it.

Not sure what you mean by that, if you mean they don't last, mine has been going 7 years so far!

  • Debjay, maybe worth you going into your local store if you are passing? Argos website stock checker on Sunday said all South Wales stores had sold out of the Dc20 yet today in store that machine obviously knew different! ;)
  • It's now showing at £229.00 on website. Might just keep checking.

I'm not sure it was a glitch as such, the DC40s were labelled with the code for the DC25 so maybe it was a replacement when they ran out of DC25s (and your store still had stock) or a mislabelling issue....?

  • Thank you! Just collected our Dyson DC40. They tried to charge us £229, but altered the price when I queried the big difference to the reservation price of £199!

Got a £10 gift card too, which was an unexpected bonus.

    Thanks to Kadison and 10ways:T

  • It's BARGAIN, BARGAIN, got it? Bargin my ****.
  • Thank you! I collected a DC40 animal today, and got the £10 gift card. I did have to show my reservation email as it scanned at £229, but the assistant manually changed it to the £199.

This came at just the right time as our ancient Dyson has been making some very scary mechanical bearing failure type noises to the point that I've been scared to use it.
  • Now showing at 229.00 on Friday and Saturday...:(

Yes that's the one. I paid £229.99 as that was the price when I reserved.

Since collecting it I have been reading the reviews and not all are positive so I am having second thoughts before opening so I can take it back.

Is it as good as all the hype or not or could I save money be buying a better cheaper alternative
