£400 Dyson for £200 in Argos

This is a glitch by way of 10ways (Thanks for the FB email!)
If you order the DC25 animal cleaner priced at £199.99, you will receive a DC40 animal cleaner instead (worth £70 more than the RRP of the DC25 animal and currently £299.99 in the sale) and it seems to be a nationwide thing.
Most people are getting the normal DC40 animal but a few of us (including me) got the DC40 Animal Exclusive instead, the only apparent difference is that the AE is pink rather than purple.
No trade-ins necessary to get this deal.
This is the one to order, I reserved to collect in store and asked to look at it before paying to make sure it was the DC40 I got :money:

Yes, the glitch works. As mentioned by the OP, I just reserved the DC25 animal for store collection. Went to collect and it was DC40..so happy!!!0

I'm very happy, I've wanted to get a new Dyson for a couple of years to update my rather heavy and clunky DC14 All Floors one, you never see them at half price so this has been brill!No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

As the Argos website was playing up today I popped to my nearest store (Cardiff Bay) but none in stock but there was availability in the Barry store where I reserved the DC25 model for £199 (with a trade in hoover).
Paid for the DC25 model and left with a DC40 Animal Exclusive. Am delighted as my original Dyson broke at the weekend!

I'm obviously being dim but I've read this several times and can't see how it's £400 Dyson for £200. Isn't it a £300 model for £200? Where does the trade in figure too?

The DC40 is worth £400, you pay £200 for the DC25 and get given the DC40, no trade-in is required, hth.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023
