Money to pay tradesman

Hi all.
Does anyone have any advice on how to pay a tradesman? I would love to use a credit card to get 12 months interest free but they don't take them.
I know i could use egg card loophole but is there any other way?
Perhaps creditcard cheques or is there a better option???
Roughly £4000 required
Thankyou

Find a tradesman that does take cards? Few round my area have offices where you can pop in to pay with card.

Pay by cheque then do 0% balance transfer into your current account?0

Some credit cards Virgin and Abbey are examples allow you to do a 'balance transfer' of funds directly into your bank account.
There is a fee of 3% of the amount you transfer payable.
Hope this helps.
