some sellers are a bit daft

Are some sellers just lazy or a bit TSFE?
I had an unusual item, not many for sale so I put it up as BIN with Best offer- it went on the BIN after a week.
Today I got the 'this seller wants to show you their item' email from ebay- and it is another seller with a link to their similar, but not identical item suggesting I might want to buy it at their just listed bargain price.
So many things are wrong with their suggestion that I don't know where to begin. Firstly, they have listed it at more than the one I sold, secondly they are an unregistered business, thirdly and fourthly (and probably the daftest thing of all) is that they have their own photo, but have copied my description word for word including my SKU information. So, mine for instance was black, theirs is green- but their description states it is black, it also mentiones the damage that mine had- even though that bit of theirs looks perfect. Theirs does have damage in a different place that is obvious from the photo but not mentioned at all.
Mine was free postage (this is a sub 500g item) they want £6.99 'standard' Royal mail postage for theirs.
I'm obviously missing something, it is so pathetic I can't even be bothered to report them to ebay for using my description.

Sounds like a 'I thought I'd seen it all, now this' moment !

You just have to laugh it off...The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
i assume theyve use a 'sell one like this' option, i did that once and i ended up with a totally different listing so actually made more work for myself ( i noticed BEFORE submitting)0

The 'sell one like this' doesn't copy the text at all. They have cut and pasted my description entirely- including all the extra bits I added about the history of the piece (in the collectable and antique categories some buyers like to know roughly which part of the country the item was bought from)- so mine had some blurb about a country house style auction as I am a business seller- they are selling as a private seller with the same blurb about having bought it with other stock from XXX areaI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
