    I take your points.

However, beds like lots of things are subjective. Really, it matters not a jot as to where Rest Assured are in the list ratings. Lists often have a certain snob value attached to which I prefer not to subscribe. The Rest Assured beds that I tried were, I thought, the best for me. Though I fully appreciate that they may not suit all.

    Hi Steve.

It's nothing to do with snob value, it's down to how good the quality is and how long they last. I take a lot of notice to what my customers tell me, and over the years you hear a lot of stories about beds that customers previously owned. The list isn't a published list, it is my own opinion as an experienced bed seller gained from listening to 1000's of customers comments about previous purchases.

I do know all about snob value. We sell some models for 75% less than the RRP, and there are many people who wouldn't buy them because they are so cheap. I often think that I should have 2 web sites, 1 with the discounted prices, and 1 with the RRP. I might actually start to make a profit then:confused:

The Calypso and the Eros (both made by Apollo Beds) are both around £2000 mattresses. However they are both available for under £500.

Why can I not find any online shop selling these Calypso/Eros mattresses? I have looked in over 15 bed stores for mattresses in person recently and never saw one Calypso or Eros mattress. Why do you claim they are sold for £1800-£2000 in the shops?

Another thing that confuses me is that the Apollo Beds Ltd website doesn't list mattresses as something they manufacture, just beds.

Could you point me in the direction of another seller of these mattresses please.

No I didn't delete it, it was a very long reply.

Maybe someone can explain why this forum doesn't seem to work properly?

As far as I'm aware the MSE Chat Forum and this board do work properly, to meet the Forum Rules detailed in the 'New MoneySavers: Pls read this' board.;)

I had always though Rest Assured were a reliable make but after buying a bed costing £1200 in March of this year, I have quickly changed my mind.

As it was a 6ft bed, the base came in two halves. The halves were different heights which meant there was a ridge in the mattress. They sent out one replacement half but it still wasn't right so they then picked up the base and sent out a complete new one.

Within 2 months the bed started creaking slightly and 6 months on it creaks like it's 10 years old. Rest Assured are not interested.

Also, even although the mattress was turned according to recommendation, the filling has settled very unevenly and is very uncomfortable.

I've since found out that other members of my family have had similar complaints about Rest Assured beds but needless to say I found out too late.

Mind you, my bed previous to the Rest Assured was a Silent Night and it was as bad.

I don't think 'makes' are as good as they used to be tbh.

PS. 'Health Beds' seem to come out fairly well on consumer tests etc.

There was no reason why the post should be removed. A member asked me a question, so I was trying to give an honest and helpful reply. If I'm asked a direct question, do you expect me to reply in some sort of code that people can't understand??

The experience of zebidee1 is a prime example of the problems I am trying to help people avoid Nile.

If zebidee1 had seen some of my previous posts they wouldn't have bought a Rest Assured or a Silentnight bed in the first place.

I don't come on here to advertise, and I take great care not to do so. I come on here to try and give people honest advice to correct the outright lies that many retailers tell them, so that they won't make a similar mistake to zebidee1.
