However, 5 years ago I was in debt! Read my first ever post.
I'm 'new money' but still have the difficult past in living memory. Hence all of the questions and why I still live in the same house as I have for a long time.
I need to save my money. I could save in the bank or purchase property, no?
Again, I repeat, if anyone would like to meet me to verify my financial situation, say the word.
This place has massively gone down in my estimation in the space of one thread. Thank you for that.12/2013 Mortgage £58430.63 - 24 years remain

He's living in a dream world.
This quote has really !!!!ed me off!
My friend has amassed £8million worth of property in a very short space of time. It can be done. His name is Neil Larkin. Google him. Ask him about the bald Powerlifter (that's me).
Again, let's meet up. I'll prove I have the means to make this happen.
I shouldn't have to but if keyboard warriors wish to call me out I'm happy to meet up.12/2013 Mortgage £58430.63 - 24 years remain

Are you kidding me mate?
People started getting on to me. What did I do wrong?
I barely post here. I check in now and again to see people calling me names. Lovely.12/2013 Mortgage £58430.63 - 24 years remain

It's reference to an individual that likes to 'talk' or evangelise - since you posted several messages in quick succession.
Chill out, i'm not name-calling.0 -
Sorry, fair enough.
I just feel a little upset that people can't be civil. I only have 40 posts since 2012. Not quite Billy Graham yet.

Your OP stated you would appreciate comments etc, but your response has not demonstrated that very well.
Your thoughts have changed, fine. Go ahead but stop wallet waving a willywaggling. You have (almost) no mortgage. well done, but at the same time, so what!
Do with your finances as you now wish.
Best of luck.0 -
I suppose I should have said 'I appreciate comments which refrain from name calling'. I assumed that would have been obvious, but I guess not.
Not to worry. I won't ask another question of this forum again, which is a shame for me because I have had a lot of really helpful replies from some lovely folks on here. So it goes.
For the record, I brought my financial position up because I was called a fantasist living in a dream world. I guess you missed that bit.
Thanks for the luck. Same to you.12/2013 Mortgage £58430.63 - 24 years remain

If you can afford £43k a year . I hope you're not a fantasist.
I did see it. It was post 34. Your mention of money was post 27.
Lets not get things out of context though, eh? and your reply to post 30 (no name calling to be found) was really unnecessary.
There have been good comments to your post and yet you have focused on a few variations that do not sit well with you. Only you know what you can achieve and your full circumstances. Try not to get distracted from the reason for your post. If you can do it, that's great!
People are investing their time to discuss it with you. Try to overlook the odd comment/doubt so you can obtain what you came here for e.g info, knowledge, awareness of pitfalls etc.
Subscribing to these trifling arguments doesn't help anything. Never posting again is also a bit OTT.
Draw a line and get back into thread mode.0 -

I've decided to stay where I am but instead try to build a property portfolio. I'm currently on the lookout for my second house which will be my first rented property.
I would like to amass 10 properties by time my Daughter is 21. (7 years)
Target is to create long term passive income and create a free life.
Update on this.
I now currently own a 10 bedroom HMO in Liverpool City Centre (which I purchased no money down!) and a 2-up-2-down single let in Cheshire. Bully for me... :rotfl:
Thank you to the negative and positive people who posted in here earlier in the year. You motivated me to become successful.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to ALL!
