[IMG]file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/User/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot.jpg[/IMG]I have a debt which i owe to british gas i recived a letter around march 15th ' 07 from hatchers lawyers requesting payment i ignored that up to now then i recived a call from westcot creidt services around 2 weeks ago they started calling i ignored there calls now they have not rang any more for around 2 weels everytime they rang i ignored there calls hacthers sold the debt to westcot im not sure why wescot stopped ringing me they hav'nt borthed for 9 days! i also have not recived no letters from wescot just the calls! WHY DO YOU THINK I HAVE NOT RECIVED ANY MORE CALLS FROM WESCOT FOR THE PAST WEEK!.

You have posted what amounts to a statement acknowledging that you owe money to British Gas & that this debt has been sold on to a debt collection company. You say that you ignored a solicitors letter & numerous phone calls from the debt collection company. This problem (debt) will not go away.

You know what you have to do - pay the money! If you don't, you will end up in the County Court which will leave you with court fees to pay & a CCJ on your credit files.

hi, can i just say that i have dealt with WESCOT CREDIT SERVICES in the past. They are quite nice as far as debt collection agencies go. Ring them and offer what you can... they will want to do an income and expenditure form with you (probably over the phone) so be prepared If they wanna know why you not answering the phone or ignoring letters tell them you've been ill or looking after your sick gran....... either way call them and offer them something

(i was paying them 5quid per month at one time.... every so often they will say to you they will offer a discount if you can pay it off quicker although with one company i found that the 57 quid discount they offered me went on my credit file as unpad)

Yes, they're not that bad. They'll only break one of your kneecaps unlike all the others who invariably break both.
