Help with Llawnroc popla appeal please

I've been reading this forum and the sticky posts but I have a couple of questions about my situation.
I received a NTK about 10 days ago from Llawnroc for parking on 25th august, saying that as payment is now overdue, I owe them £90. We did park in the named car park, bought a ticket but possibly overstayed, we can't really remember. There was no ticket on my car when we got back.
I asked Llawnroc for photographic evidence, they provided an incredibly blurred shot where you can't make out the date/time stamp, but it also vaguely looks like there is a yellow ticket on the windscreen - it's so blurred you can't really make it out.
They also provided me with a popla code which I've just checked on the parking cowboys website, and it was issued in 2010.
There were other people in our party who also parked and paid, and they've had the same, although they did query why there was no ticket on the windscreen and Llawnroc have told them they have photographic evidence of a ticket - the same too-blurry-to-see yellow mark on the windscreen.
Given that they are completely lying about this, I'm a bit unsure as to how to appeal. As they've issued an invalid popla code to me, does that form a part of it?
Grateful for any help!

You need to get in touch with them and demand a valid POPLA code. Also inform Steve Clark at the BPA about his member issuing invalid POPLA codes.

Once you've got your valid code, draft your POPLA appeal, and post on here for comment before sending it off.
This little outfit should be seen off quite easily. Do encourage everyone in your party to fight their tickets too.0 -
Thanks, I am trying to persuade them but unfortunately the other people involved are older and rather unwell and are being scared into thinking payment is the only option.
Should I refer to the 'fake' ticket that seems to be on my windscreen in the photograph? As far as I'm concerned , the NTK was the first contact I'd had with them and without a ticket on the windscreen they are way out of the time limit for issuing it.0 -
I would not mention the fake ticket on the screen - this could 'out' you as the driver. Best to keep it as Registered Keeper as it gives you an extra appeal point on a non-compliant NtK (it will be non-compliant, let them prove to POPLA otherwise)
Those who cannot be faced with the appeal process themselves can pay £16 to the Parking Ticket Appeals Service - and they guarantee to make the matter go away, and it beats paying the PPC £90.
There's no harm in providing your party with the templates (and even for them, or someone else, to hand-write in the blanks), it would be terrible for these parasites to be living off the old and unwell.0 -

Absolutely this below:ezerscrooge wrote: »You need to get in touch with them and demand a valid POPLA code. Also inform Steve Clark at the BPA about his member issuing invalid POPLA codes.

Also surely if the POPLA code comes out at 2010 just change the 10 to 14 and it's a current one? Maybe the PPC made a typo, if so then use the code with 14 instead of 10 in the middle (that's the date part).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
