in House buying, renting & selling
Hi, currently in the process of buying a house. Survey has come back and stated the property shows signs of longstanding movement. It does not appear to be progressive and saleability should be not be affected, no specialist report is required. Is this basically nothing to worry about? Not entirely sure what they mean by movement either

    Yes.

    It's just surveyorspeak for "I spotted some cracks. Looks like they're because of some slight subsidence a long time ago."

    I'd swear some surveyors copy and paste it into every report of old properties.

    Over time the ground beneath the property will move.
